About the School and its location
Ramsey is a small market town situated almost half way between Huntingdon and
Peterborough and within easy reach of Cambridge and London. Abbey College is set
within its own historic, extensive and beautiful grounds close to the Parish
Church of St Thomas à Becket.
The College was formed in 2006, a result of the amalgamation of Ramsey Abbey School
a former 14 – 19 school, with Ailwyn School, a former 11 – 14 lower tier school.
The catchment extends over a wide rural area, and there are currently over 1650
students on roll, including a Sixth Form of nearly 300.
